| Welcome to Newington Nurseries. We are plant experts and garden designers specialising in the unusual and exotic. Our varied and interesting selection includes hardy exotics and lush tropical rainforest plants, many of which are endangered in their own habitat. We also stock a wide range of alpines, cottage garden and herbaceous perennials, including traditional favourites as well as some more unusual varieties. Our passion is plants. This is where we focus and this is what makes a visit to us a rare treat for real plant enthusiasts who find we offer much more than the average nursery. We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, and there is ample parking. |

| The nursery itself is set among a series of beautiful show gardens. These have been created to illustrate our talent for design - we are, in fact Chelsea Gold Medalists. They also provide inspiration for our visitors. Restful waterfalls, shady glades, hot Mediterranean terraces, and formal pathways lead our visitors to the hub of our nursery, the glasshouse. Outside is an eye-catching array of hardy exotics - bamboos, olives, cordylines and more - while inside is a whole new world. The glasshouse is home to a striking display of tropical species, from majestic banana plants and elegant palms, to jewel-like orchids and exquisite citrus trees. It also houses several of our Alocasia plants. We are proud to hold the national collection of this dramatic rainforest specimen from Asia. |
