| Welcome to Newington Nurseries. We're plant experts and garden designers specialising in the unusual and unique. Our varied and interesting selection includes hardy exotics and beautiful orchids. We also stock a wide range of evergreen shrubs, architectural plants, grasses and herbs. A visit to us is a rare treat for plant enthusiasts who find we offer much more than the average nursery. We're open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm (4pm in winter), and there is ample parking. We also have an excellent tea-room, set amongst tropical plants, where you can enjoy freshly ground coffee, home-made cakes and light lunches. |

| The nursery itself is set amongst a series of beautiful show gardens. These have been created to illustrate our talent for design. They provide inspiration for our visitors. Restful waterfalls, shady glades, hot Mediterranean areas and formal pathways lead our visitors to the hub of our nursery, the glasshouse. Outside is an eye-catching array of hardy exotics - bamboos, olives, cordylines and more - whilst inside is a whole new world. The glasshouse is home to a striking display of orchids and citrus trees. It also houses several of our Alocasia plants. We're proud to hold the national collection of this dramatic rainforest specimen from Asia. |
