Hardy Exotics garden
You will see our hardy exotics immediately you walk
through our entrance gate. The borders are filled with lush Cordyline
australis, Dicksonia antarctica, Phoenix canariensis and Trachycarpus
fortunei as well as Phormiums and grasses including the eye-catching
Miscanthus.
The different shades of bright green foliage are offset by splashes of
brilliant colour provided by Crocosmia, Cynara, Lythrum, Verbascum and
Verbena.

Water garden
Who can resist the sight
and sound of moving water in the garden? Our waterfall and stream
have been constructed using local stone, light in colour and providing a
real contrast to the surrounding planting. You will see a wonderful mix of
evergreen and seasonal exotic plants.
Hardy gingers and hardy bananas have been planted amongst bamboos, ferns and
grasses, all a foil for the colourful blooms of the herbaceous plants. |

Moroccan garden
Our
stunning stone water feature, surrounded by blue slate mulch, looks wonderful framed by
Ceanothus, Choisyas, Fatsias, Phoenix canariensis and Phormiums as well as the imposing Trachycarpus fortunei, all plants with different form
and height but entirely complementary.
These plants are evergreen and therefore maintenance is minimal - just a
quick tidy up here and there periodically throughout the year. |

Come and be inspired
Leading to another restful
waterfall, our hardy and imposing palms withstand all sorts of wild and windy weather
at Newington Nurseries.
Cordyline, Phoenix and Trachycarpus palms look great in any garden and there are plenty of other varieties of hardy exotic
plants to choose from.
Although we specialise in plants, we also sell interesting garden structures and
furniture. |

Don't
forget to visit our hardy exotic area to see unusual trees, shrubs, bamboos
and grasses. |
